HERE’S HOW TO GET YOUR GPS LOCATION

TO DROP A PIN (GOOGLE MAPS)

Mobile apps such as Google Maps and Apple Maps will continue to work even without internet access. The easiest way to get the GPS coordinates is to press and hold on the map screen on top of the current location. This will pop up information on the dropped pin, including the GPS coordinates in decimal format. You can copy and paste this information and include it with your recovery request.

ONLINE HELP – FINDMYSAR.COM (FREE)

FindMeSAR is a public service web application which can provide your coordinates. By using your mobile browser and navigating to https://findmesar.com you can get your current location. However this will only work if you either have internet access at the location where the vehicle is stuck, or if you have previously loaded the website on your phone.

In order to assist you with your needs please relay as much details as possible and don’t forget to take photos. Are you broken down and just need to get parts to safely get off the trail or are you stuck in soft sand? These questions will help speed up the recovery process.

REMINDER:

Keep in mind that we are an off-road recovery group so if your on a highway or somewhere accessible by a tow agency then you are going to be asked to contact them first.

In the event you damaged any property with on the trail, broken glass, spare parts, or any other debris will need to be picked up prior to leaving the area. We are LEAVE NO TRACE and refuse to leave trash or litter behind so please plan accordingly.
